How safe is Buenos Aires?
Argentina is a very interesting country to travel and explore and compared to other countries in Latin America, you can say it's relatively safe both in the big cities and in rural areas. In the weekends in Buenos Aires life seems to go on 24 hours. In most crowded areas police patrol quite actively on the streets. Thieves and pickpockets can be everywhere however, so, as in any other place, do not take unnecessary risks and use your common sense. Be aware if a stranger starts talking to you spontaneously and leave your valuables, passports and tickets in your accommodation.
Getting around Buenos Aires
Central Buenos Aires is a great place to tour on foot, but like all capital cities it is large, so if you want to go further afield use the public transport. Public transport in Buenos Aires is generally safe and efficient, the "Subte" (Subway/Underground) is the easiest to use. It serves the city centre and northern areas. To reach the rest of the city or go outside it's best to use the bus service. There are also plenty of taxis which are not very expensive.
What is the local currency?
Argentina's currency is know as the Peso. It's symbol is the same as the US Dollar so don't get confused. 15$ is 15 Pesos, 15 US$ or U$S is 15 US Dollars. There are 100,50,20,10,5 and 2 notes and 1, 0.5, 0.25, 0.10 and 0.05 cent coins.

Please note the prices at our website are published in US Dollar.

Yes, on the last day of your course you receive a certificate indicating the time spent at school, the progress made and the level achieved.

What is the distance between accommodation and the school?
It depends. Most accommodation is centrally located and all well connected with metro and bus. We try to place students as close to the school as possible. If you have special requests for accommodation in a certain neighbourhood we can try to arrange this for you as well. Make sure to make a note on the booking form. All accommodations are within a 30 minutes distance of the school, walking or by public transport.
Can I change my accommodation if I´m not satisfied?
Yes, as long as we have something similar available and when you have a reasonable motivation.
Is there a washing machine in the accommodation?
